The staff in hospitals are specialized and diverse, and often need to learn new technology and management techniques. It will encounter the difficulties in scheduling and course arrangement if we adopt the traditional teaching methods for different departments and staffs. On-line study or e-learning will provide a better solution for the restrictions on time and space. According to previous literatures, although on-line study is proved to be effective in learning without restrictions on time and space, it can not solve the problems in departmentalization and personalization among multiple positions. Based on ARCS theory, this study is to achieve efficient and individualized online education and training by providing personal information in PBMEL e-learning prototype when new technology is introduced to the hospital. PBMEL prototype was tested in the training courses of PACS and was assessed by the TAM theory. The result shows the system is useful and easy to use with high acceptance by the user. |
