Thirst: A Concept Analysis

「渴」是人體正常的生理機轉。然而，對於血液透析患者而言，卻是一個常見且難以忍受的問題。因此，本文旨在以Walker和Avant(1995)所提的方式來進行「渴」的概念分析。藉由廣泛的文獻查證來澄清「渴」的定義及確認其定義性特徵，繼而呈現典型、邊緣、相反及相關案例來做說明，並確定此概念之前因後果及實證性參考指標。希望透過此概念分析的結果，能增進護理人員對「渴」的認識，並實際運用於臨床照護中。

Thirst is a normal physiological mechanism. However, it is one of the most frequently occurring symptoms among hemodialysis patients. The purpose of this article is to explore the concept of thirst by using Walker and Avant's (1995) concept analysis. The steps include: a review of the literature on conceptual definitions of thirst, clarifying the defining attributes, constructing the model: borderlines, contrary examples and related cases, as well as identifying antecedents and consequences. Finally, empirical referents demonstrate the current perspective regarding the concept of thirst. This analysis can help nurses to gain a better understanding of the concept of thirst, and then to apply the knowledge in clinical practice.
