This article described a nursing experience for a 29-year-old multipara underwent nonsuccessful experience of breast-feeding after Caesarean section. The period of this case started from September 29th 2009 to October 2nd 2009. With the Gordon's 11-item functional health pattern assessment tool, nursing problems were identified through direct patient care, physical assessment, case interview and observation. Major nursing problem were identified, including: (1) inefficiency of breast-feeding is related to nonsuccessful experience of breast-feeding. (2) Acute pain is related to the Caesarean section of the wound and the contraction of uterine. (3) Fatigue is related to poor health. From this nursing experience, the importance of correct health education and appropriate assistance in cases of need is recognized. Nursing people by using a variety of measures would help promotion of breastfeeding, maternal and effective pain relief in order to facilitate its postnatal physiological and psychological adjustment. |
