Generally speaking, the Hi-Tech products include some specific characteristics, such as high-price, strict precision, easy to break; therefore, Hi-Tech products have to be carried carefully by vehicles. These vehicles are usually provided by one third party logistics provider. The provider needs heterogeneous vehicles to serve different Hi-Tech companies and Hi-Tech products. Furthermore, one vehicle has to pick and deliver Hi-Tech products in one route, and the pickup time or delivery time of Hi-Tech product is constrained. Hi-Tech product needs full-truck-load carry service or less-than-truck-load carry service; therefore, the vehicles routing problem of the third party logistics provider is different from other third part logistics provider. In this paper, we only explored the vehicles routing problem with full-truck-load for the provider, and we have developed a model to solve the routing problem and we also designed some test problems to verify the model. The results indicated that the model could effectively solve these test problems. Furthermore, this study serves as a good reference for the follow-up study, and offers some ideas of routing for the third party logistics provider. |
