Librarian's Profession at Large in the New Millennium

不同時代的圖書館，有不同的圖書館員。不同時代的圖書館員，創造了不同的圖書館時代。圖書館員，尤其是圖書館主管人員的素質，決定了圖書館的服務品質與服務內容，以及圖書館的社會價值。圖書館員素質的養成是一項綜合性的學習過程。圖書館教育的重要目的之一在於培養圖書館員的廣域素質library literacy at large。本文內容包括:圖書館與圖書館員、圖書館員的.知識媒體的.讀者服務、圖書館的服務與圖書館員的角色、圖書館演化與圖書館員的角色變化、圖書館員的素質座標及圖書館員的素質塑造等。

The role of librarian has been changed in different ages for keeping the proper library value. The librarian, particularly the chief librarian, should have the comprehensive social literacy for creating the qualified library services to the people. And librarian's profession up to date is a complex process by the leaning and the mind changing. Library literacy at large must be a major consideration in the LIS education program.
