TRA and Taiwan's Economic Security

台灣經濟快速頃中，美國不應坐視此一可能威脅東亞區域和平穩定的發展。因為ECFA與後續之服貿協議使台灣更依賴中國市場樍幾乎已變成中國之附庸，此一結構改變明顯有政經雙重嚴重後果，若不改變恐使台灣政治命運受中國之操縱，而經濟暴露在中國經濟的風險下。讓台灣被迫與中國建立緊密之關係，會搖動東亞區域和平。因此，美國應與台灣展開雙邊與多邊經濟合作，並協助台灣加入TPP，以抑制台灣傾中的趨勢。在經ECFA大量開放設立商業據點（例如設分公司或事務所）或以自然人呈現方式（例如中國保險代理人或經紀人到我國提供保險規劃服務）後，中國專業人士之東來對我白領就業之衝擊由想而知。其對我國服務業就業之衝擊將不下於引進中國之製造業勞工。

During the Dutch colonial period(1624-1661)and Tungnin Kingdom period(1661-1683), China and Japan were balanced by the power in Taiwan. As a result, Taiwan straits provided free international access to international trade among South East Asia, North East Asia(including Japan) and China. Taiwan's harbors worked as free export transits, with Western, South Eastern, Chinese and Japanese businessmen trading in Taiwan and their goods transshipped in Taiwan. The then prosperity was a result of balance of powers. With this in mind, one can easily see that 「ECFA」 and「ASEAN plus 3」 are made by China to isolate Taiwan further and are designed to facilitate China's dominance in East Asia. Supporting Taiwan can contribute significantly to the peace and prosperity in East Asia, singing ECFA with an emerging China can deteriorate seriously the imbalance of power in East Asia only.
