熟悉張愛玲小說的人通常知道張氏文學的語言犀利,內容則多洞悉人性,遍覽人生;一如清楚關錦鵬電影的人了解其電影基調的冷歛細膩。拍攝文學作品改編的電影有其困難性,尤其是改編、拍攝張愛玲的小說。關錦鵬運用細膩巧妙的拍攝手法讓張愛玲的小說幾盡原汁原味地呈現,我們也再次感受張愛玲<紅玫瑰與白玫瑰>中動人卻無奈的男女感情。<紅玫瑰與白玫瑰>雖非時下流行產品,但重新對讀張愛玲的小說和關錦鵬的電影,我們依然可以看見現今社會的無理現象。張愛玲的小說運用充滿象徵張力的語言文字,大量書寫人物內心,並藉「某個人」抒發內心感受,藉以呈現傳統社會和父權體制下生存的男男女女,她把這些男女寫進小說,而男女情愛背後所透露的時代環境壓迫之無奈或是人情冷暖、世道滄桑,此才是張愛玲極欲呈現並嘲諷的。關錦鵬認同這樣的想法,但仍相信感情依然會有出路,如他所言:「儘管我對那種感情的態度不是很積極、很樂觀,所以呈現很灰,但是真正心裡面我對感情的東西不是完全絕望的。」他用反電影化的「電影語言」,字幕和他音,運用環境和空間的象徵,色調與音樂的對比來呈現張愛玲筆下的<紅玫瑰與白玫瑰>,有著改編電影的創新,卻也符合文學原著的精神與目的。
英文摘要
People who are familiar with Chang Ai-Ling’s novels usually know that the fictional language of Chang’s literature is forceful, and it’s contents have an insight into human nature and see human life clearly, just like the people who know Guan Jin-Peng’s Movies understand thoroughly the fundamental keys of his movies which are highly coordinated and coherent. It is difficult to re-film literary works, especially Chang Ai-Ling’s Fictions. Guan Jin-Peng used detailed and artful execution to present the similar arguments of Chang Ai-Ling’s Fictions in his movie. We also can feel man and woman’s touching but helpless emotions of Chang Ai-Ling’s “Red Roses and White Roses ” once again. “Red Roses and White Roses” is not a fashionable product nowadays, bur after re-reading Chang Ai-Ling’s novel and Guan Jin-Peng’s movie, we can still find these unreasonable situations and emotions in this modern society. Chang Ai-Ling’s novels abound with of words of symbolization and tension. . She describes human’s inner self largely and let “a character” of her novel voice out his/her feeling and thoughts. Chang’s novels tell of the emotions of the men and women who live under the traditional patriarchal system, the vicissitudes of life urider. What Chang Ai-Ling wants is to present and mock at the pressure of time and environment, and the cohstantly changing social value. Guan Jin-Peng has the some theughts, and believe that there should be still a way out for the unaided emotions. Like he said:”. Although though my attitude towards these emotions are not very positive and optimistic, and my films present gray color. But truly I’m not totally desperate in my mind. ”He uses language not used in the movies, subtitles and other voice. He also uses the symbolization of environment and vision, the contrast between color scheme and music to present Chang Ai-Ling’s “Red Roses and White Roses”. His film has innovatives, which are not deriant from to the implication and purpose of this original literary text.
