生物節律是生物隨著外在環境因為時間的變化而調整之生理機能,生物時鐘就像是體內裝著準確的時鐘一般,響應外界的變化,以調節體內順應各個不同時段的需要。睡眠是人類一種基本的需求,調查發現30%的成年人有偶發性的失眠及10%的的成年人有慢性失眠之症狀,其中40%失眠者可能會導致精神疾病(Franzen & Buysse, 2008)。因此本文旨在介紹生物時鐘療法應用於精神科病患的成效,生物時鐘療法包括光療法(Light therapy)、喚醒療法(Wake therapy)、睡眠時相提前法(Phase advance of the sleep-wake cycle),期盼能為精神科疾患提供睡眠障礙方面的物理治療參考。All organisms have a kind of internal mechanism called circadian rhythm, which regulates biological function based on the changing external environment overtime. Like a clock in our body, responding to the ever-changing outside world and adjusting our body to meet various needs, it is known as the biological clock. Sleep is a basic human need. However, according to a study by Franzen & Buysse (2008), 30% of all adults complain of occasional insomnia and 10% of chronic insomnia, of whom 40% may have a psychiatric illness. Thus, this article presents the effect of applying chronotherapy on psychiatric patients, including light therapy, wake therapy, and phase advance of the sleepwake cycle, serving as a reference for treating sleep disturbances in psychiatric patients. |
