A Project to Computerize the Nursing Administrative Process in the Operating Room

筆者服務的醫院已經於門診、住院全面推行電腦化作業，但是手術室雖然有80問房間，每月約進行8000餘台手術'手術室護理行政作業仍為人工操作方式。造成表單重覆，記錄時間與實際發生時間不符，各房間進行進度掌握耗時，影響績效甚鉅。此次手術室護理行政電腦作業率統專案實施後，獲得下列成效。一、在手術室護理行政作業表單記錄方面： （一）、簡化紀錄表單：內容簡化表單3 種、取消表單10 種，平均每月降低5600張表單的使用。（二）、降低護理人員記錄與彙總的時間每天約280.6 小時。（三）、提昇表單記錄的時間與實際發生時間的一致性達100% ，且醫院每天可減少加班費4800 元。二、在手術室各項護理行政業務聯繫方面：（一）、即時掌握各房時手術進行進度，每天約節省護理組長走路聯繫的時間6 小時25 分鐘。（二）、提昇各房間運用的機動率。（三）、提昇各房間動用率計算的正確性。（四）、提昇病患動向電子顯示看板訊息正確性為98.05% 。In our hospital, computers have been fully utilized to facilitate the administrative processes for the clinic , and admission. However, most of the administrative processes in Operating Room were still managed manually operation even though the Operating Room included 80 individual operating rooms with a capacity of undergoing more than 8, 000 surgeries per month. Consequently, the efficiency and utilization of the operating room ( OR) was seriously affected because manual operation brought many problems such as overlapped recording sheets, incorrect time recorded on the recording sheet, and inability of the administrator to immediately retrieve information about the process of surgeries. In this project, with the aid of 'a computerized nursing administrative process in the Operating Room', we have made many significant outcomes as follows. In regarding to the recording sheets for nursing administrative process, (1). 10 out of 14 recording sheets were deleted, 3 sheets had content simplified, and 5600 recording papers, were saved; (2).280.6 hours per day were saved for recording; (3). the consistency rate is 100% between the time recorded on the recording sheet and the actual time of occurrence, with NT dollars 4, 800 per day saved. Regarding to the coordination among nursing administrative processes in operating room, (1). the administrator can immediately retrieve information about the process of surgeries; and save 6.25 hours per day walking time for OR management and communication; (2).the flexibility of each individual OR room increased; (3).the accuracy of the caIculation for utilization rate of each individual OR increased; and (4).the accuracy of the digital information bulletin board increased to 98.05%.
