台灣新住民的人數近年來快速攀升,影響社會結構,改變生活型態,而新住民因來自不同國度,不同的觀念、文化、生活,衝擊著台灣。新住民靠著婚姻的締結,踏上台灣土地,在這落地生根,展開新的家庭生活。部分新住民願意遠嫁來台,是為了改善原生家庭的經濟生活,或是單純想擺脫困頓的生活,以為嫁來台灣是來享福,殊不知卻是另一窘境。不少新住民家庭成了社會弱勢族群,新住民子女的誕生讓問題更為複雜化。在生活、經濟、價值觀……等各方面的影響下,讓新住民及其子女的教育問題顯得更需關注。除教育問題外,新住民子女的心理輔導也是重要的議題。筆者以身邊所聽聞或遭遇的實例,來了解新住民家庭的所需,期待有更多援手協助新住民改善其生活,讓新住民子女能安穩學習。 |
英文摘要 |
The number of new residents is growing rapidly in Taiwan, which influences the social structure, and changes life styles in the Taiwanese society. These new residents come from different countries, have different backgrounds, and they have an impact on the Taiwanese society. Most of the new residents’ lives do not get better in Taiwan. The new residents become naturalized Taiwanese citizens through marriage. Many of them choose to marry to Taiwanese citizens for the hope of improving the financial condition of their family in their home country. Another reason they choose to marry Taiwanese citizens is that they think they can live a better life in Taiwan. However, a new life often does not mean a better life. A new life in Taiwan may turn out to be a more miserable life. Some of new residents become socially disadvantaged, and children born in these families further complicate the matter. Education can change one’s life. Therefore, the educational issues of the new residents and their children are critical, and require the attention of the whole society. Besides the educational issues, psychological counseling for the children of the new residents is also an important issue. The author aims to understand what the new resident family need by providing her own experience and observations, and expects that more resources could be allocated to help these new residents. In this way, the children of new residents could learn in a more supportive environment. |
