在這裡，我們先將簡單回顧政府所草擬的各種原住民族自治區法版本，接著分別評論國民黨政府的作為、以及民進黨的立場。再來，我們將討論民族自治、地方自治、以及部落自治的不同，並說明可能的安排。在結論之前，我們將探究台灣原住民自治的前景。

We shall begin with a brief review of the various Indigenous Autonomous Bills drafted by the government. Secondly, we will discuss the practices attempted by the current Nationalist Chinese government and those proposed by the opposition Democratic Progressive Party. Thirdly, we will look into the differences among indigenous self-rule, local selfadministration, and tribal self-government and accompanied arrangements. Before we come to the conclusions, we will offer a vision for possible developments in the future.
