腸病毒及手足口病之中藥治療

Treatment of Enteroviruses Infection and Hand Foot Mouth Disease by Chinese Medicines

1948 年發現柯薩奇病毒，至 1957 年在紐西蘭及加拿大發生由柯薩奇病毒甲 5及 16 引起之手足口病，中國大陸亦自 1981 年首於上海發生，並繼在大陸各地出現。臺灣於 1997 及 1998 連續發生此類病毒引起之感染。目前並無處理此病毒有效之藥物，而大陸則應用不同中藥或中藥方劑，按中醫診治理論以處理之。主要中藥為板藍根、大青葉、黃芩、黃連、柴胡、金銀花、連翹、土茯苓、甘草等。此等藥物或其製劑之療效，宜用現代臨床藥物試驗之方法評估之。

Since the discovery of Coxsackieviruses in 1948, the hand foot mouth diseases are happened in 1957 both in New Zealand and Canada as caused by Human Coxsackieviruses A5 and A16,a nd this disease appear in Mainland China first in Shanghai in 1981 then occured in different part of this country. In 1997 and 1998 such virus infection also occurred in Taiwan area. Until recently, no effective drug are available for the treatment of this virus infection. However, different kinds of traditional herbal drugs are used in mainland China clinically for the symptoms caused by this virus infection according to the Chinese medicine principles. The drug used are Banlangen and Dagingye (root and leaf of Isatis indigotica Fort), Huangqin (sutellariae baicalensis Georgi), Huanglian (Coptis chinesis Franch), Chaihu (Bupleurum Chinese DC.), Jinyinhua (Lonicera japonica Thumb.), Liangiao (Forsythia suspensa Thumb.), Tufuling (Smilax glabra Roxb.), Gancao (Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch). Thus the clinical efficacy should be evaluated by clinical trial methodology.
