英文摘要 |
The article described is the nursing experience of a 47-year-old patient who had been diagnosed with myoma for 10 years. Because of hypermenorrhea and enlarging uteral fibroid, the patient underwent hysterectomy with the advice from her physician. The author assessed the condition of the patient with Gordon’s 11 functional health patterns during the period of 2008/12/23-2008/12/28. Data were collected by using observation, interviewing accompanied with physical examination, and nursing problems such as acute pain, body image disturbance and knowledge deficit were established. Through providing associated nursing care to relief discomforts resulted from the acute pain and clarifying correct information about hysterectomy, the patient was able to accept the fact in the change of body image. The patient’s partner was encouraged to participate in the nursing care program to assist the patient in reducing potential anxiety from future sexual activities and to reestablish self-confidence. Since hysterectomy is a common operation in female population, we would like to share our experience with all colleagues. |
