The Tzu Cheng/Yi Te Association at Tzu Chi University has a unique guidance function. This study surveyed students and Tzu Cheng/Yi Te 'mothers' and 'fathers' in order to explore their levels of satisfaction with the functions of the Association. A cross-sectional survey method, which involved scaled questions on levels of satisfaction drafted by the author, was adopted for the study. There were 1,238 valid questionnaires from students and 219 from 'mothers' and 'fathers'. SPSS for Windows 10.0 was used to conduct the statistical analysis. Results showed that in terms of life guidance, interaction and humanistic care, the average overall level of the students' satisfaction was lower than that of the 'mothers' and 'fathers'. When both sample groups' satisfaction levels with the same institutional functions were measured, the results showed clear discrepancies in their different perspectives. The results of the study thus offer the institution some references for improvement so it can retain the best aspects of its humanistic guidance function. |
