This article is a reflective report on the author's 30-year professional practice. The identification as a social change-oriented educator fuels the author's conscious effort to not only locate but also root herself in the local communities of Taiwan society. In the article, the author reviews her teaching practice and social practice in light of social change-oriented professional practice, and the turning points of her practice that were recognized and described as a joint-effort with the author's students in both college and graduate levels. The image that this article portrays is a reflective practitioner on the edge resisting the dominance from mainstream psychology. The article concludes with a narrative of 'Performing Motherhood as Migrating-Laboring Activities' in the hope that readers can approach this reflective report critically from a feminism perspective. |
