呼吸器相關肺炎是病患使用呼吸器48小時後發生的肺炎，是嚴重的甚至致命的院內感染。護理人員需要具備基本的和進階的知識與技術，才能幫助使用呼吸器的病患避免發生呼吸器相關肺炎。本文主要目的是探討呼吸器相關肺炎的危險因子、臨床評估及其預防措施，其最終目的是提高此類病患之照護品質。

Ventilator-associated pneumonia is a type of pneumonia occurring in a person who has been assisted by mechanical ventilation over 48 hours. It is a serious and life-threatening nosocomial infection. Nurses need basic and advanced knowledge and skills to prevent ventilator-associated pneumonia for patients with ventilator support. The purpose of this article offers a brief exploration of the risk factors, clinical assessment, and prevention of ventilator-associated pneumonia. The optimal goal is to promote quality of care for patient.
