Regular exercise not only can promote physical and psychological health of older adults, but also can improve and enhance their quality of life. The results of previous studies have shown that selfefficacy is the most important influencing factor for exercise behavior in older adults. The purpose of this article is to introduce self-efficacy theory and its relation with exercise behavior among older adults and to explain how nursing staff can maintain and improve exercise behavior among older adults by applying four major sources of self-efficacy. |
