烙印的概念分析

Stigma: A Concept Analysis

烙印(Stigma)通常是因許多疾病被誤解而產生的一種心理障礙，它不僅會使得疾病的治療不能只單純針對疾病本身而已，醫護人員同時更要幫病患做好心理復健，無形中亦增加了醫護人員治療疾病的困難度。國內外有許多相關文獻及研究在探討烙印對疾病的影響，但至今仍欠缺對烙印作有系統的概念分析。本文依 Walker和Avant(1995)提出的步驟，加以運用來對「烙印」做概念分析，並且統整相關領域之文獻查證後，確立「烙印」概念的定義性特徵，並提出範例介紹，期能幫助護理人員更清楚地了解此概念，並應用於護理的專業領域中。

Stigma is a psychological burden that usually is misunderstood by the occurrence of many diseases. Health care professionals not only have to care the physiological disorders of patients, but also the psychological impacts of the illnesses on patients. In a way, it makes treatment more difficult. Lots of literatures and researches that address the influence of stigma towards diseases, however, systematic conceptual analysis is still lacking. Based on the works of Walker and Avand (1995), literatures were reviewed to establish the definition of “Stigma”. The purpose of this article aimed to help nursing staff better understand the concept of stigma, and apply the knowledge to their professional activities.
