Migraine may cause people unable to work and cost significant medical expense as well. Migraine headaches affect both the physical and psychological status for people at the most productive stage of their lives. Therefore, migraine does not only affect the quality of life but also directly threaten their career. Nursing professionals, standing in the first line of medical care, should have adequate knowledge about the causes, prevention, and therapies of the disease in order to work with the medical team to provide adequate care and health education. Nursing professionals could play important role in migraine prevention and treatment in clinical practices. |
