For example: to indicate the subtitle; to indicate the chapter number; to indicate the beginning of next paragraph (section); and/or to decorate the Paigi (牌記)。 There is only one type of Banshin shown within one book. However, different books have different types of Banshin. Among them, 0-3 types were mostly found. Usually, the Yuwei was placed with its two points facing down the page. Only if two Yuweis were used together, the one at the bottom would be located with the points in the opposite direction. To decorate the Paigi page, the Yuweis were used only on top and bottom of the pages, and were never used at right or left side of the pages.
