Design assumed a high priority in corporate strategies in the 90'. A strategy giving primary importance to design will have enhanced design performance and its competitiveness. The study reviewed the literatures related to design management, business strategy and design strategy. The concept of content analysis was adapted to analyze the words from books and articles. Major summaries include: (1) suggesting 5W to define the design strategy; (2) finding six aspects as a strategic thinking step, (3) defining design strategy to five levels of organizational structure. (4) A conceptual framework was proposed to describe the developing of design strategy. |
