血清對氧磷酸酯壜基因(PON1)被視為是巴金森氏病(PD)的危險因數之一。本研究以病例一控制組研究之方法,對於生活在台灣中部136位PD患者與171位年齡、性別相符的控制組個體,檢驗PON1上Glu192Arg與Leu54Met多形性在基因型及對偶基因頻率上之相關性。結果發現無論Glu192Arg或Leu54Met多形性都與PD的危險性並無以相關性存在,PON1中Arg對偶基因的相對危險為1.041(95% CI=0.922-1.177, p=0.434),而Met對偶基因的相對危險為0.992(95% CI=0.962-1.023, P=0.611),進一步以PD患者的性別及發病年齡來比較PONI的基因型與對偶基因頻率,結果亦顯示沒有顯著的相關性,但發現在Glu192Arg與Leu54Met多型性之間有高度的不平衡性存在。我們的研究結果顯示在台彎PONI並非PD的危險因子。 |

The paraoxonase 1 gene (PON1) has been suggested as a risk factor for Parkinson's disease (PD). A case-control study was carried out to examine the association of the genotypes and allelic frequencies of the Glu192Arg and Leu54Met polymorphisms in the PONI between 136 PD patients and 171 control subjects living in central Taiwan, matched by age and sex. There were no existence of association between any of the Glu192Arg and Leu54Met polymorphism and risk of PD. The relative risks were 1.041 (95%CI=0.922-1.177, p=0.434) for the Arg-allele and 0.992 (95%CI=0.962-1.023, P=0.611) for the Met-allele of the PONI. Further comparison of the genotypes and allelic frequencies of the PON1 in PD patients stratified both by gender and age at onset also revealed no significant associations. However, there was existence of a high dysequilibrium between the Gln192Arg and Leu54Met polymorphisms. In conclusion, resuits of our study showed that PONI did not confer risk of PD in Taiwan. |
