This study aims to understand the relationship between job satisfaction and well-being, wondering if they involve approach-approach conflict just like having your cake and eating it. In addition, whether people with high EQ will doom to hold the well-being? Whether job satisfaction will bring workers to well-being? There are few researches exploring the moderator of emotional intelligence, so the study with research subject of employees from wholesale and retail businesses in Taiwan is mainly to examine the relationship between job satisfaction and well-being from the viewpoint of emotional intelligence, adopting purposive sampling. 1573 copies of questionnaires were issued, while 1105 copies were returned. The collected questionnaires were analyzed by t-test, one-way ANOVA, and hierarchical regression. The following conclusions were found and discussed: a) Employees of wholesale and retail business possess upper-medium level of job satisfaction and well-being. Furthermore, they have excellent emotional intelligence, mastering at regulating their emotions. b) Regarding to demographic background, there are significant differences in job satisfaction, well-being, and emotional intelligence. c) Job satisfaction and emotional intelligence provide significant positive predictability towards well-being respectively. d) Emotional intelligence has significant positive effect of moderator on the relationship between job satisfaction and well-being. |
