The issue of labour control has been attracting people's attentions at work. However, researchers have relatively ignored the labour control over journalists. Therefore, the aim of this paper has two aspects: the one is to explore the types of labour control over journalists; the other is to address their doctrines and implications. The main argument of the paper is: under capitalist mode of production, labour control over journalists is an imperative in pursuit of the maximization of capital accumulation. The paper examines the problems of labour control over journalists in the labour process by three types of controls, namely the bureaucratic, technological, and valuable controls. Finally, in terms of three types of labour control, their implications for production can be drawn by the political apparatus of production, the instrument of production, and the ethic regulation of production respectively. |
