The purpose of this study is to discuss the core dimensions of quality of work life (QWL) on the labor force of large enterprises in Taiwan. In this paper, the literatures of QWL are reviewed focusing on the three levels: individual level, job level, and organization level. Based on these levels, this study will develop a survey questionnaire with 60 items and collect empirical data from the top 1000 enterprises. By statistic analysis, this study adopts factor analysis to discover six core dimensions of QWL: job growth, promotion reward, interpersonal interaction, living protection, participative management, and environmental support. Besides, this study shows that the average scores of the emphasis degree on each core dimension of QWL are higher than the average scores of the statisfactory degree. Therefore, large enterprises in Taiwan should improve the quality of work life on labor force future. |
