The researches on job satisfaction are numerous, however, few of them ever discussed the relative influence of each job satisfaction items on the whole job satisfaction. In addition, seldom of them ever examined the change of its relative influence under different situations. This study surveyed 3,037 workers in Taiwan. Finding shows that then ten job-related items satisfaction all have significant and positive effect on the whole job satisfaction. The relative influence of items belong to motivation factor is stronger than that of items belong to hygienic factor. Furthermore, this research also finds the relative importance of individual job items on the whole job satisfaction changed when the situations of organizational size, trade sector, gender, age, and educational level are different. This implies that the management should adopt appropriate intervention strategies under different situations, and then the worker's job satisfaction can be maximized. |
