Through the exploration and exploitation of innovation, enterprises can enhance their competitive positions and maintain their long-term prosperity. Therefore, long-lasting businesses and enterprises are committed to the ambidextrous innovation. This study surveyed the data from top 1,000 enterprises of manufacturing industry in Taiwan and acollected the data by mailing questionnaires and the secondary financial information. Based on the multiplying effect of ambidextrous innovation, this study examined the impact of internal capacity and leadership behavior for ambidextrous innovation and verified the relationship between ambidextrous innovation and organizational performance. By employing AMOS software to perform path analysis, the main findings are as follows: (1) From the perspective of internal capacity, both organizational absorptive capacity and organizational improvisation are conducive to dual innovation; (2) From the perspective of leadership behavior, the more top managers show transformational leadership behavior, the more enterprises are able to bring ambidextrous innovation to their businesses and change leadership behavior, which, however, is not conducive to ambidextrous innovation; (3) Ambidextrous innovation is not only conducive to the organization of long-term performance, but also contributive to short-term performance. |
