This paper proposes a dynamic scenario mechanism based on encoding and recognizing users’ operation patterns during playing arcade games so as to dynamically change the game scenarios for increasing the participation enjoyment of users. By encoding the difference in terms of distance, per pair of continuous user inputs, the sequence of users’ operations, we can characterize and rank the users’ experience in playing the game. According to the rank of users’ experience recognized and the corresponding enjoyment function curve, the adapted game scenarios (e.g., changing the challenge level, visualization effect, rhythm of playing game, and so on) will be accordingly determined to increase the degree of entertainment as they are playing the arcade game. |
