After University Act legally granted faculty evaluation, universities establish the faculty evaluation system to evaluate faculty’s performances in teaching, research, service and consulting. Using questionnaire to collect data, the study aims to explore faculty’s attitude toward faculty evaluation in the dimensions of evaluation of purposes, criteria, system design and implementation, result applications, and supplementary measures in S University of Technology. The study has following findings: faculty’s attitudes toward faculty evaluation are quite fine; faculty in different genders/ages/professional titles show no significant difference, but faculty in different service years/colleges/posts, whether attending hearing/knowing University Act or not, have significant differences in different dimensions. |
