臺灣與環太平洋的樹皮布文化

BARK－CLOTH IN TAIWAN AND THE CIRCUM－PACIFIC AREAS

民國四十七年夏，筆者在中尺研究院民族學研究所，利用暑假做短期工作，參加該所花蓮縣光復鄉馬太鞍社阿美族的實地考察，任臨時調查員，分擔調查衣服、飾物、紡織、編織等項。筆者在詢問衣服的原料時，發現報導人，馬太鞍社的大頭目年近八十的何有柯（Unak Tabon）在他年少時，尚見到過做樹皮布，他還能記憶清楚一切做布的方法和過程。

In the summer of 1958，a field－team consisting of research members of the Institute of ethnology，Academia Sinica，and several senior students of the Department of Archaeology and Anthropology，National Taiwan Wniversity, Went investigating the native culture in the Mata’an village，an Ami com－munity in Huan－lian Hsien，under the auspices of the Institute of Ethnology and sponsored by CHina Council for Asian Studies.
