Leofoo Village started out as a safari park in Taiwan in 1979; however, in 1989, Leofoo Village wanted to show Taiwanese companies how important recreation business was and therefore, it has developed itself into a theme park business. The major difference between an amusement park and a theme park is that the theme park has a strong image which combines modern technology and innovation to create a special environment, including the buildings, plants, landscape, food and beverage, merchandise, background music, costumes and shows. All of these factors need to be carefully created around the theme, increasing the unique experience for visitors and making them come back again and again. The goal for Leofoo Village was to become the leading theme park in Taiwan and therefore, more facilities and internships have been introduced to provide diverse and abundant entertainment and quality of services to visitors. An internship in Leofoo Village consists of an exchange of services for experience between the student and the entrepreneur. Students can also use the intern-ship to determine if they have an interest in theme parks industry, furthermore, to create a network of contacts. Internships are temporary positions, however, experienced interns can be a significant benefit to the employer. |
