This paper studies die research tendency of the shipping and logistics through the analysis of the articles published on the Journal of Shipping and Logistics from Vol. 31 through Vol. 40. From this analysis, the following facts are discovered. First, in the view of research subject, the most studied fields are port management, shipping management and logistics. Second, among the researcher groups, university professors study most actively. The researchers of institutes study more than before, though their research papers are still relatively small in number. Third, in the type of analysis method, researchers mostly depend on the literature study, mathematics analysis and contents analysis. Fourth, the level of globalization has been increasing from Vol. 31. In the meantime, I suggest that the system of educational-industrial joint research should be built and that interdisciplinary studies be activated for the development of the study on the shipping and logistics. |
