To find out if teacher evaluation for special educators is viable in Taiwan, this study investigated the general views of special educators on teacher evaluation. The research, using self-developed questionnaire as its tool, sampled 931 special educators around Taiwan and got 738 valid responses. The results turned out that most special educators approve with teacher evaluation and agree that it promotes innovation. In general, teacher evaluation is favorable if it is for professional development. This study also gives suggestions for further study and recommendations for teacher's practical work. |
