本研究目的是設計一份簡易、時間短,又容易執行的評測工具。施測採活動實作配合晤談方式進行觀察與紀錄,首先蒐集有關幼兒幾何圖形基本概念及其相關教學研究文獻加以整理探討,據此編製「幼兒幾何圖形測驗」,包含:操弄實物、辨認圖形、構造圖形三階段共七個活動,進行試測。施測樣本為屏東縣某托兒所大班5 位、中班11 位、小班10 位幼兒,共26 位幼兒(其中男生13 人、女生13 人)。施測結果顯示幼兒說明圖形之性質時,大多數都以經驗性的知覺,少數能分辨圖形的部分特徵。對於任何基本圖形的特徵,無論在視覺或觸覺察看或做分類之活動時,除部份小班幼兒外,都可以分辨相關屬性。據此,本研究對幼兒幾何圖形概念學習提出一些建議,藉供幼教師從事幼兒幾何圖形教學活動之參考。
英文摘要
The purpose of this study was to design a simple and easy assessment tool. Wecollected the basic conceptions of young children’s figures and reviewed the relatedliteratures. Based on these informational materials, we designed the Young ChildrenGeometric Figures Test. The participants selected from a kindergarten in PingtungCounty, Taiwan, included 10 children from the first year class, 11 from the secondyear class, and 5 from the third year class. We observed and recorded the youngchildren’s performance through activities and interviews. Seven activities applied inthe study included three phases of manipulating objects, identifying figures, andconstructing figures.The study showed most of the young children described figures by theirexperiential perception, where only a small number of them could partly identify afigure’s attributes. Based on the findings of this study, some suggestions for the youngchildren geometric figure concept teaching and learning activities as a reference to theyoung children teacher. For further future study, it is suggested that researchersexamine children in their implicit and naive conceptions of geometry.
