The Revision and Implication of J. F. Herbart’s General Pedagogy under Globalization

本文主要以德國教育學者J. F. Herbart(1776-1841)的普通教育學為例，探討傳統的教育理論在全球化影響下，如何還能夠具有時代意義。本文試圖將團結一致原則，引導到Herbart 的學說中；並以國際性的合作，作為這個原則的具體落實。經過這項理論內容擴充的程序，可以使得Herbart 的普通教育學，能夠因應全球化的挑戰，而凸顯Herbart 教育學說合乎時宜的面向。

The purpose of this paper is to investigate how traditional educational theory， J. F.Herbart’s pedagogy， applies to the modern age under the trend of globalization. Based on the principle of solidarity， the author elucidates solidarity from Herbart’s ethics and emphasizes international cooperation as practice of solidarity. Through the process of expanding the contents， Herbart’s pedagogy and his moral theory can respond to challenges from the globalized world， and his theory is applicable to the modern societies.
