過猶不及:解構千禧年後臺灣女遊書寫下的日本意象

Boundaries: Deconstructing the Image toward Japan in Taiwanese Women's Travel Writing since the Millennium

本文旨在解構千禧年後台灣女遊書寫下的日本意象，並以西方女遊書寫下的日本意象以及日本對於這些書寫的回應做對照，去定位台灣女遊書寫的可能價值。主要研究發現有四：（一）旅行，是女遊展現積極生命態度的重要實踐，女遊書寫，是這項實踐的反芻與記錄，女遊多從「哈日」出發，透過不同的因緣及方式，讓自己和日本產生積極的連結。（二）無論從眾或獨走，女遊書寫的出版品之調性，多屬個人風格強烈的旅遊資訊書。（三）女遊凝視著日本女性的「優雅舉止」、「細心妝扮」以及「認真對應」，多採遠眺、旁觀或擦身而過的輕描淡抹，並沒有出現深層、長期、多方交流後的描述或自省。女遊也從「新奇有趣」、「專注認真」和「煩人厭遇」等方面注視著日本男性，依然是從旁眺望或遠觀，彼此並無真實的互動，只在安全、不麻煩的範疇下，有距離地去想像、去觀看、去接觸。（四）因此，千禧年後台灣女遊書寫下的日本意象之價值在於，提供台灣人瞭解日本旅遊的一個可能文本，但它只稍縱即逝，滿足了女遊自身或台灣本地出版市場、讀者的短暫需求而已。

The purpose of this paper is to deconstruct the image toward Japan in Taiwanese women's travel writing since the millennium and furthermore with the image of western women's travel writing to Japan and the response of Japanese toward the western women's travel writing as comparison and orientation to evaluate the Taiwanese women's travel writing. Four points are found in this study: (1) Traveling is the active performance and important practice in women's life, travel writing is the reflection and records of such practice. Female travelers make positive relationship with Japan through variety of chance and manner. (2) Whether conformity or going alone, the women's travel writing publications are almost travel guide books with strongly personal style. (3) Taiwanese female travelers gaze toward Japanese women with superficial glance, the description has no deep, long-term, multi-exchange and self-examination. Taiwanese female travelers gaze toward Japanese men also with the similar attitudes. They have no real interaction with Japanese men. They watch and image the Japanese men with distance in an area of safety and without annoyance. (4) The value of Taiwanese women's travel writing in the new millennium is just to provide the Taiwanese to understand Japan tourism, but it is only fleeting, actually they are only short-term needs for female travelers themselves, local publishers and readers.
