英文摘要 |
In the last three decades of the twentieth century, we witnessed a new turn in the contemporary western historiography, which is from the classical cultural history and social history to the new cultural history. Peter Burke, the British cultural historian, is one of the most important advocators of this movement. He did a lot of studies on the (new) cultural history theoretically and practically. From Burke's own works and his views in different periods, this essay tries to review the forming of his new cultural history, and to explore the characteristics and varieties of the NCH. |
