The main purpose of 〈The Bodily Perspective of 《Lao Tzu》〉 is in interpreting 《Lao Tzu》 from the point of view of body. The concept of the body concerns with perception, behavior and world, so, we will discuss all of them. First, 《Lao Tzu》said ”the five colors will blind our eyes”, so we should know ”here”, not ”there”. Since to know ”here” need not the experiences of ”there”, so there will be no knowledge, no desire, no name and no thought. Thus, the intention of our bodies was disappeared. A body of ”Bodiless” became the ideal body of 《Lao Tzu》 and the world became the Way of ”here”. A world of the Way of ”here” is a world of nature and it was contradict to the world of ceremony, which was build by Chou dynasty. Then we found the practical meaning of 《Lao Tzu》 from the point of view of body. |
